Take Aim

So my smoke alarm that is on the wall outside my kitchen can quite happily go off if someone burns a piece of toast 3 streets away. It will even go off if I am ironing in the other room (once a year job that!) but oh no, as soon as my oven belches out black smoke caused by a piece of old pizza that has dropped down. it does nothing. First think i know is when the cockateil starts coughing and dons a gas mask? Down to Wilko's this weekend for a fire extinguisher and hammer to smash the bl**dy thing! to bits.
