A bit Trombone heavy in the first half ,but enjoyed it even though I fluffed one note (this must be a female mouthpiece as it is so temperamental!!). Our Bass Trombone player had been tootling the first few bars of Sentimental Over You for ages. So last night we threw it over to him and he made a superb job ,nailing the high notes like a pro and on a big bore bone.
Recently we did a Funeral of a person who was in their 100th year. I listened in on the service hoping that the vicar would say that they liked at least 5 pints of Stella every night.....but nope, they had been tea total all their lives and lived an honest and decent life. Reward indeed me thinks and I am a great believer in the afterlife so this person certainly deserved their place. It is said in the book that Jesus went to prepare a place for us, as in his house their are many rooms. I just know when I get their (if) I will get a one man tent!!!!
