INVICTUS







Out of the night that covers me



Black as the pit from pole to pole



I thank whatever gods may be



For my unconquerable soul.



In the fell clutch of circumstance



I have not winced nor cried aloud.



Under the bludgeonings of chance



My head is bloody, but unbowed.



Beyond this place wrath and tears



Looms but the horror of the shade,



And yet the menace of the years



Finds, and shall find me, unafraid.



It matters not how strait the gate,



How charged with punishments the scroll,



I am the master of my fate:



I, am the captain of my soul.

Who am I
Good question...who am I? Well I don't think I have ever really found out and I am still finding myself after all these years. I went to school and hated it. I became an Engineer and hated it. I learned to play Trombone and...loved it. I joined the Army for 17 years and loved 10 of them. I jumped out of a plane and loved the ride down but hated the landing. I am an Introvert but for most of my life have acted as an extrovert. I have good hours and bad days. I am an undertaker and an average Musician and like to think of myself as a caring human being. I hate bullies. I love animals. I am a perfectionist but hate praise. I like to make at least one person a day laugh.I run my own help web site for those fighting Depression and Anxiety issues (http://crusader.yolasite.com).Basically I am one mixed up individual. But if I was like everyone else then I wouldnt be me? Would I change my life. Bloody right I would. There are many things I have done that I am proud of. There are other things in my life that I detest. But we are all dealt our individual hand of cards. It is up to us how we play them!
